Chris, you’re absolutely right. And it’s one of the things we sell at the Jandoli School, both for our grad and undergrad programs. You don’t have to work in newspapers to benefit from a journalism degree. What stands out to me in this is the real decoupling of “journalism” as a vocation, a calling, and “newspaper work” as a job. I think that’s interesting, and very much keeping with that era.
