The highest grade I ever got from Denny was a solid C+, B- tops. Yet, the principles and his guidance have stuck with me forever. You nailed the Denny experience spot on here. Great tribute!

Never took a course with Denny. But he taught me more about teaching than anyone. Thanks for a great read.

Jared Paventi wasn't in that class. Jared dropped that class over the summer because his internship was going to interfere with his attendance at the beginning of the semester thus making my St. Bonaventure academic career 0-for-Denny. But, I did take a class taught by your sister.

I am scared to leave a comment. Denny might see it and red pen it, crushing my spirit one more time.

My lasting memory will always be showing up to his class on 9/11 and him sending me back to The Buzz, where we were doing a live news broadcast. "You have work to do," he said. I fell in love with journalism that day and journalism took me around the country.

The man taught me so much and I looked to him as more than a professor during those years. Alas, more than 20 years later, I have nothing to do with journalism. The lessons of paying attention to details, finding your passion and asking the tough questions remain to same.
